The afternoon was filled with entertainment by The Dreamers and the Ross Dance Company, as well as a heartfelt presentation about the history of the Aphasia Center of California by president and founder, Dr. Roberta J. Ms. Ackerman’s shared inspiring stories about life and recovery following her husband’s stroke and aphasia.  She also signed copies of her most recent book, One Hundred Names for Love. An informal reception with views of beautiful Lake Merritt was the perfect conclusion to the day.
